Now in its 10th year, United Way of Sumner County's annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive will have a different look in 2020 as we work with Sumner County Schools to provide assistance to low-income students while working to help keep our students safe.
From July 15 - Aug. 4, you can create positive change in the lives of local students by helping United Way of Sumner County provide 1,200 backpacks to low-income students and dry erase markers for our high schools as part of the 2020 Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive. Sumner County Schools is providing school supplies to K-8 students to assist families during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are supplementing that effort by providing backpacks to local students in need.
To assist our high schools in their efforts to remain safe, we are collecting dry erase markers so that our approximately 9,000 high school students will each have their own marker to use to reduce the need for sharing items in the classroom.

DONATE DRY ERASE MARKERS
Whether it’s a single marker, a three-pack, or a collection of various colors, we want to collect approximately 9,000 dry erase makers during Stuff the Bus to make sure our local high students each have their own marker to use at the white board this year. Any brand, any color will do, as long as they are large chisel-tip DRY ERASE markers.
Buy them locally (including during the July 31 - Aug. 2 Tax-Free Weekend) and drop them off at our office or a drop-off site listed below, order them from AmazonSmile to benefit United Way of Sumner County (details below), or make a donation by clicking the button above and we’ll buy them for you.
