Volunteer Spotlight: Mable McReynolds

Mable Reynolds pushes cart of diapers for UWSC Mom & Baby Care Drive

United Way of Sumner County could not do the work we do without our incredible volunteers!  Longtime volunteer, Mable McReynolds, has worked in every United Way of Sumner County special event  – Campaign Kick-off, Fall Classic Golf Scramble, Winter Care Drive, Gala in the Vineyard, Stuff the Bus, and Mom & Baby Care Drive. She gladly helps with any task, such as picking up and delivering children’s coats, filling backpacks with school supplies, preparing desserts for golfers, sorting T-shirts, stuffing envelopes for mailing, counting in-kind donations, and more. Mable worked as a professional newspaper photographer in Sumner County for 26 years before retiring in 2008. But she never slowed down.  “I enjoy helping people, and when I volunteer for United Way I feel like I am helping somebody. There’s always something different to do at United Way.” Mable also serves as a volunteer on her church care team in Portland. “It is just so satisfying to volunteer.”
