2023 Winter Care Drive wrapped up!

The United Way of Sumner County 2023 Winter Care Drive collected 313 gently-used coats plus 190 new hats, 515 new pairs of socks, and 245 new pairs of gloves for a total in-kind amount of $2,317.62 in newly donated items!

These items are being distributed to the United Way Partner Agencies who serve children:  Children Are People, Community Childcare Services, Cumberland Crisis Pregnancy Center, Gallatin Daycare Center, Gallatin Shalom Zone, Grace Place Ministry, HomeSafe, STARS counselors at both Beech High School and White House High School, and Unlimited Potential Community Development plus the Sumner County Schools Family Resource Center.

Eight local companies served as public drop-off locations:  Gallatin City Hall, HATS (Habilitation and Training Services), Hendersonville Public Library, Hendersonville Senior Center, Huntington Learning Center, The Farmers Bank (both the Portland and Westmoreland locations), and Weichert Realtors/Southern Realty Partners.

An additional nine companies conducted internal collection campaigns amongst their employees, customers, families, and/or members:  Aladdin Temp Rite, Durham Farms, Gallatin Rotary, G.K.N. Hoeganaes, ITW Stamptech Fasteners, Liberty Creek Middle School, Primrose School of Hendersonville, Servpro Headquarters, and Sumner Academy, .

Thank you to these companies for participating and to everyone who donated and/or volunteered for this year's drive!  Together we are keeping Sumner County kids warm this winter!
