The Sumner County Schools Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department offers programs in 13 Career Clusters for students to explore opportunities in a wide range of career fields. These courses help students discover their interests and the educational pathways that can lead to success in high school, college and their chosen career/profession. The CTE Programs connect with local businesses through advisory councils that help CTE teachers better understand the skills most needed in your industry. The CTE Programs also welcome opportunities to connect students with real world projects as a part of classroom learning, such as having culinary students cater your event, construction students build a bookshelf, or digital arts students create a flyer, etc. They are always looking for guest speakers, field trip locations, and employers to work with students in a variety of ways. Please reach out to Chase Moore (chase.moore@sumnerschools.org) if you are interested in getting involved.
Our Get Help page is an invaluable resource for Human Resource departments who may need to guide employees to help resources during times of struggle. Get Help posters are also available in English and in Spanish. Feel free to print and hang these in breakrooms or other shared spaces.
