Be Prepared: Tornado Season is Here in Sumner County

Emergency Preparation

We’ve Been Here Before—And We’ll Be Here Again
At United Way of Sumner County, we've stood with our community through some of its most difficult moments—floods, tornadoes, and unexpected emergencies. When disaster strikes, we activate quickly—connecting those impacted with the help and hope they need.

With tornado season now underway, we ask:  Are you and your family prepared?

Off to the Races: Gala United 2025 Wrap-Up!

The 2025 Gala United: A Night at the Races, presented by Dollar General, was a night to remember—filled with high stakes, high spirits, and heartfelt generosity. On Friday, March 21, our guests donned their finest Derby hats, fascinators, and bow ties and gathered at Live Hendersonville (formerly the Premier Centre) for an evening of elegance and excitement in support of United Way of Sumner County.  With 210 attendees, the energy in the room was electric!

Impacting our Neighbors at St. Vincent de Paul Society

"I am a 52-year-old husband, father, brother and son. I have lived in Gallatin for the past several years, and over the course of those years I have held several odd jobs. I like to work with my hands, and I am not afraid to work hard. In doing so, I haven't taken very good care of my body. Ultimately, I was diagnosed with two lifelong medical issues. These issues have landed me in the hospital for months at a time and caused me to lose several jobs.

Impacting our Neighbors at Community Resource Center

At United Way of Sumner County (UWSC), we often witness stories that reveal the quiet yet profound struggles of our neighbors.

Community Resource Center (CRC), one of UWSC's newest Funded Partner Agencies, recently shared a moment that underscores the importance of their work—and why we remain committed to supporting programs that address basic needs.  (CRC supplies local Sumner County hygiene pantries with a wide range of hygiene items to be distributed free of charge to individuals facing economic hardships, crises, and transitional periods.)
