Volunteer Voices: Jordan Woodruff

At this year's 2025 Community Impact Breakfast on August 14, several United Way of Sumner County board members served as award presenters.  We asked them to share their "why" for being involved with UWSC.  Here is what Jordan Woodruff, UWSC Board Vice Chair, shared that day:

Good morning, my name is Jordan Woodruff, and I have the pleasure of serving as Vice Chair of the board.

I have been asked to tell you about my WHY for partnering with United Way.

Financials

United Way of Sumner County believes that trust is the cornerstone of our relationship with all stakeholders. In the interest of transparency, the following legal documents and/or public information are made available to the public in .pdf form for review.

Financial Stability

Building financial stability and strength

Everyone deserves the opportunity to earn a living wage, support their family, and plan for the future. But in Sumner County, thousands of households are working hard and still falling behind, unable to afford essentials like housing, child care, food, and healthcare.

United Way of Sumner County partners with individuals, nonprofits, and businesses to break down financial barriers and build long-term stability. Together, we’re creating pathways to financial security for every generation.
